This one-of-a-kind, heirloom-quality brass commemorative coin was specially designed by the Founder and CEO of American Military News after he visited the beaches of Normandy in 2019 for the 75th Anniversary. He was so touched by an overwhelming and indescribable sense of gratitude that he wanted to create something beautiful to honor the brave men who stormed the beaches on that eternal day, D-Day.
This D-Day 75th anniversary coin is of such high quality that it will last generations for you to hand down to your children, grandchildren and other loved ones.
The front side of the brass coin has a raised brass sculpture of unnamed men storming the Normandy beaches on D-Day with crosses from the Normandy American Cemetery in the background, with green for the richly colored grass that overwhelms you when you enter the cemetery that is the final resting place of 9,388 Americans. This scene was specially licensed from noted military artist Larry Selman.
On the back side of the coin is an operations map from D-Day that shows where American, British and Canadian troops landed on the infamous beaches of Utah, Omaha, Gold, Juno and Sword.
